Secondary 2 School Workshop 2020

By Chloe Chong on 12 February, 2020

It is January again. The time where we say hello to the new year and look forward to what the new year has in store for us. One of the things many had looked forward to was the annual camps and workshops held by Holy Innocents’ his School for their students.

This year’s Secondary 2 workshop was very interesting, consisting of various fun activities for the Secondary 2 students of 2020 to enjoy.

“I enjoyed the Secondary 2 workshop”, stated Charmaine Low, 14, from 2 Respect. “It was very interactive and I had the chance to bond with my friends and classmates. I learnt how to give proper body language during a conversation and the importance of setting a good example to others. However, I felt like the topics could have been further elaborated and explored as the things taught to me during the workshop are already in my knowledge.”

One of the instructors for the workshop, Mr Ali, 49, had this to say. “I wanted to teach the students useful life skills in the workshop such as practicing mindful social skills and more.” he also added, “The students were very participative and very engaged, alert and attentive. Coming back to Holy Innocents’ to teach again is a must!”

According to Ms Lim, Teacher-in-Charge of the Secondary 2 Workshop, she felt that the students did very well and were rather engaged. She hopes they can take away valuable social skills such as conflict management and social ettiquette.

Ms Lim also quipped, “I hope that they’ve learnt some values from the workshop and apply them in their daily lives towards their friends and families.”
